Nehemiah
I am in shock every single time I hold a new born babe in my hands.
If you really think about it, it is absolutely insane that a complex human body can make another complex human body within itself.
Every strand of hair. Every finger nail. Every cell. Was made from two very small different sources of DNA. How do the cells know what to do? That blows my mind when I think about it too much. So I stop thinking about it and rest knowing that my GOD told the cells what to do.
It reminds me of the first time a human body came into existence. Man was made from... nothing. Well, dirt, which is practically nothing. How did the dirt know what to do? Well thats easy. GOD told it what to do. God made man.
But what is every MORE astounding than the physical creation of man... is the mental, emotional, and spiritual.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end." Ecclesiastes 3:11
These are things no scientist can explain. Yes, we have a brain, which gives us a personality and emotions... but there is so much more that makes us who we are. God has placed an awareness and longing for eternity in every single human heart. And while God has done this, He has also not revealed to us all the mysteries of His nature and work from beginning to end. This is to keep us longing, awaiting His return.
Baby Nehemiah was made in the image of God, and has the longing for eternity placed into his heart. I know his mom and dad will do an amazing job of teaching him about all of the great things Jesus has done for us... and soon little Nehemiah will also be staring in wonder at the greatness and goodness of our God who made him.
Late Christmas.
I know this post is late... but I couldn't help but share some of the sweet photos I got from this Christmas.
Having a big family is hard sometimes. As we get older, it becomes harder and harder to get everyone together for Holidays, or for any days. I am sure everyone with a bigger family can relate to that.
This Christmas we were missing two brothers and two sister-in-laws. It was something that we got as many together as we did!
But one thing is for sure, I am proud to call these crazy people my family. I am so grateful that God has given them to me for every season of life.

Wonderfully Made
I got a thorn in my leg from climbing up that mountain.
There were so many bushes and sticks.
But it was worth it.
I am a very blessed girl... that is for sure.
God knew what He was doing when He made this world and the people in it.
He also knew what He was doing when He made me. and you.
Nothing is by mistake...
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made" Psalms 139:14
Lets not ever forget that we were forged by God... and made for His pleasure and purpose.
Such basic teaching. Such basic thoughts.
But it is so important and so forgotten.
Even thorns serve a purpose to the rose they protect.
Praise the Lord! Because He has done great things.
Nashville!
For thanksgiving I went to Kentucky with Dakota to visit his parents, but first we went to Nashville!
The music city!!!
We met Elvis!!
And his guitar was stollen... so I stood in its place. He was happy about that, trust me.
Good food. Good view. Good company.
These are three things that I love... among lots of other things of course!
Life is short... so take time to enjoy the things you love with the people you love.
You will be a much happier person if you do.

The Colors of Fall
In Arizona we don't get too much of a fall...
But thats not true of Arkansas!
I love seeing these changing colors and shades.
Ah, the beauty of it all. The beauty of fall.
Blessed.
To be blessed means to be enjoying happiness, or enjoying the bliss of heaven.
Thats how I feel when I go on road trips with this man...
Blessed.
