Blanchard Springs

You know what I love?
Walking through the woods.
Being in nature.
Hearing the rushing of a river.

My sister, brother-in-law, and nephew love those same things...
so... we went on a road trip to Blanchard Springs in Arkansas.
The spring comes from a cave a few miles away and it is freeeeezing!
We also went into the cave. It was awesome!

I don't know what it is... but whenever I am in a cave I imagine freaky scary
deformed people jumping out at me and eating me.
I guess I have a wild imagination,
or I have watched too many horror films.

Nevertheless.... It was a fun day.
Any day out doors is a fun day! Gotta love it.

On the Roadside Pickin' Blackberries

You know, it really is the simple things in life that
make us the happiest.
A hug, a hot cup of cocoa, a starry night, a favorite song, laughter, a letter from a friend...
Or picking blackberries on the side of the road with your sister and baby nephew.

Cherish everything.

Walking in Memphis

I finally got to see my sister!!!
Oh boy was I excited.
I arrived Thursday morning in Memphis and we went for lunch on Beale street.
I guess its a very popular street.
I had never heard of it. haha.

But nevertheless.. it was awesome. Food was great. Atmosphere was fun.
And its always exciting seeing new sights.
The little baby in the picture is my 9 month old nephew.
His name is Lukas and he is such a happy baby! Always smiling.

These are just a few of my blessings.
Thank you Lord for allowing me to see my sister before
I go to Belize.
Just 4 more days people!!!

Go.

Guess what?!
11 days.
11 days until I get on the airplane and go to Belize.
Its so very close I can taste it!

These past few weeks have been pretty awesome.
I lost my phone I am horrible with phones... and keys
and I have been using the quietness to really seek God.
Its a lot easier to hear Him with the cell phone gone. no duh!
And on Sunday I shared with my church about my trip
and my father and I sang/played "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus"

In the song, the last line of the last verse says:

"And go to a world that is dying, His perfect salvation to tell"
It made me think about our world...
And how we are called TO GO.

You know... Jesus didn't ask us to "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation" - Mark 16:15.
He commanded us.
and last I checked... a commandement is a lot different than a request.
At least my parents would say so.

The world is dying....
and its not going to pause while we figure out
where
when
or how we are supposed to go.
Jesus said go.

Go into your school. Go into your work. Go into your social group. Go into your Facebook. Go into your club. Go into your sports games. Go into your church. Go into your shopping. Go into your concerts. Go into your book club.
GO and PREACH the good news to ALL creation.

Because we were commanded..... And because we love Jesus Christ.

......11 days.....

Summer Bliss

Summer is for making memories.
Its for trying and doing new things.
Its for being adventurous
lazy
thoughtful
carefree
and young.
This past weekend I went to Sedona with my good friend Halli.
We did all the above in not exactly that order.

"God is beautiful" was all I could think about as we were hiking, listening to music, taking pictures, and just driving around.
What a wonderful world He created.
I am so happy that He cares enough to bless us with enjoyable sights.

I am not putting on a fake face or saying these things cause they sound right.
No, I really feel this way.
And that is what makes the whole thing so grand.

2 weeks and 2 days until Belize.

I don't Belize it.

Well....
I can't believe it.
I am only three weeks away from going to Belize.
THREE WEEKS!
Its just SO amazinglywonderful I am SO crazycrazyexcited!!!!

I have been to Belize twice... and I guess you could say it never quite let go of me.
(I mean how could it? Look at the pictures. The Belizeans are beautiful inside and out)
After going to Belize, I realized something; I wanted to serve God on the mission field. Whether that means short term missions, long term missions, leaving the States or staying here, I am going to be apart of Gods team in reaching lost and hurting people.

What an amazing adventure this is going to be.

So... after going to Belize twice as a participant, I am now going as an intern with Praying Pelican Missions. I will be there for six weeks (yes... I said SIX), and it is going to be life changing.
I just know it.
God has already provided abundantly for me and is preparing my heart and mind for this trip.

....I only have to wait 3 weeks... or 21 days... or 504 hours.... or 30, 240 seconds....
